Farmington Young Professionals (FYP) consists of motivated, energetic, young at heart professionals who seek enrichment by participating in professional, community, political, and social activities that improve the community and its members.

FYP is part of the Farmington Chamber of Commerce and offers its members leadership development and networking opportunities.  We organize support for social causes with our volunteer efforts or financial donations that we raise with our annual Date Auction fundraiser.  Our community involvement includes a Relay for Life team, assisting with the chamber’s Chile in October, Connie Mack World Series program sales, Dumpster Weekend, the Pie Eating Contest at the San Juan County Fair, the chamber’s Christmas Light Parade, the Children’s Golf Tournament Benefit, Farmington Clean and Beautiful Adopt-A-Block cleanup program and much more.

The social committee stays busy hosting numerous activities for our members.  The group will meet for coffee on a Saturday morning, breakfast at a local restaurant, our annual recruitment BBQ, and our  Christmas party is always fun.

FYP’s professional committee provides the “Educate Em” program used to showcase businesses within the organization.  These businesses take the opportunity to educate members on topics pertinent to their industry and provide helpful tips on how to use services wisely.

The political committee provides updates on important issues in the house and senate at the state and federal levels.  They also bring in candidates running for office at the local, state and federal levels.

The opportunity for personal growth while serving the community is evident in the group but most of all we have fun and build lasting relationships and connections in our great community.
