2020 Professional Women’s Summit – “Rising Above”….
This year’s Professional Development Summit will “Rise Above” Covid19 challenges and restrictions and is designed for women from all walks of life and from every region of the country. We welcome CEOs, mid-level managers, sole proprietors and at-home moms working a business while raising a family. The Summit will be in a Zoom format and we encourage you to take this hour and ½ and close your office door, turn off your cell phones and utilize this opportunity for personal and professional development.
Our 2020 Keynote Speaker is author Sarah Swindell. Sarah is originally from Farmington and now resides in Houston, TX. She is the wife of a professional baseball player and the mother of a child with severe Autism. Sarah will share her experiences and life lessons learned. Sarah’s published novel, Rounding Home is the story of her journey and how she has risen above heartache and betrayal. She has generously donated several autographed copies of her book to be given away during the event.
At registration, please choose ONE of the following Breakout Room Options – each room is limited to 50 participants. When the room is full, we will move you to another breakout room.
A –“Get Up, Dress Up, Show Up and Never Give Up” – Presented by Sheila Mathews, President and CEO of Four Corners Community Bank. Sheila will share her personal story of overcoming obstacles and using hard work and determination to reach her full potential as a bank CEO.
B – “Women & Money: Own Your Financial Future” – Presented by Heather Holmes, Financial Advisor with Morgan Stanley. Women are increasingly the decision makers in the household and have decision making control over half of the US investable assets. Heather will be discussing the many roles that women take on in both their careers and in their household as well as how to prioritize your financial needs in the face of competing obligations. Heather will also be covering the keys to saving for a longer retirement.
C – “Personal and Professional Branding – How to Promote Small Business and Creating A Personal Brand” - Presented by Sheila Mobley, owner of Detailz Boutique which was named the 2020 Best Online Boutique for New Mexico and the Runner-up for Best Overall Online Boutique. Sheila has over 15 years in the retail industry and will be sharing her personal experiences as a business owner as well as how she has successfully used social media to create and promote her business and her brand.
Registration for the Summit is $25.00 and includes a box lunch from Pocketstone Bakery. Lunches can be picked up from 10:30 to 11:00 in front of the Farmington Chamber of Commerce located in the Quality Center for Business at San Juan College (5101 College Blvd.)
