  • Joining a committee is a great way to   network within the Farmington Chamber of Commerce while serving the civic, industrial, educational, commercial and business interests of Farmington, San Juan County and New Mexico...all with just a one hour commitment to a meeting each month!

    Banquet Committee
    Chair: Ashley Ritter. - Assists the Events and Promotions Committee in the preparation of the Annual Membership Meeting and Banquet by organizing and decorating the banquet hall.

    Education Committee
    Chair: Chris Pash - Welcomes new teachers by hosting a New Teachers’ Luncheon for Farmington schools.  Implemented the “It’s YOUR Life” program, taught to every ninth grade class in Farmington schools by business professionals within the chamber. Host Rocinante High School career day.

    Redcoat Ambassadors
    2020 President: Millie Howle - Official ambassadors to the chamber, participating in ribbon cuttings, ground breakings, and make a yearly trip to the NM Legislative Opening Reception in Santa Fe.  Click here for an application to join.

    Four Corners Professionals
    Chair: Devin Long - Consists of motivated, energetic, young at heart professionals, who seek enrichment by participating in professional, community, and social activities that improve the community and its members.

    Health & Wellness Committee
    Chair: Waldon Lynch - Responsible for an annual health fair, health seminars, and focuses on the physical, mental and emotional well-being of our community.

    Legislative/Governmental Affairs Committee
    Chair: Tom Taylor - Brings together business and community leaders from our area to focus on legislative initiatives. The committee discusses the impact of these issues on business in Farmington and how we can keep our chamber membership up to date on local and state issues that might affect them.  The committee may also draft and recommend to the Board positions on issues to be adopted and advocated to government officials, membership and the public.

    Promotions and Special Events
    Chair: Melissa Ramsted - Responsible for creating and   implementing new fundraisers for the chamber, most notably, Chile in October and Music on the Greens Membership Celebration.

    Finance and Operations Committee
    Chair: Carmen Martinez - Responsible for overseeing the     financials of the Farmington Chamber of Commerce, including reviewing the monthly bank statements, invoices and the management of the chamber’s investments.

    Retire! NW New Mexico Committee
    Chair: Nancy Shepherd - Works  in conjunction with the City of Farmington, and the Farmington Convention and Visitors Bureau to market northwest New Mexico as a place of outdoor adventure, vitality, active living and as a prime retirement destination for active retirees.
