    Joining a committee is a great way to   network within the Farmington Chamber of Commerce while serving the civic, industrial, educational, commercial and business interests of Farmington, San Juan County and New Mexico...all with just a one hour commitment to a meeting each month!

    Banquet Committee: Assists in the preparation of the Annual Membership Meeting
    and Banquet by organizing and decorating the banquet hall according to the
    outgoing board president’s requested theme

    Education Committee: (3:30 p.m., fourth Tuesday of the month) Welcomes new teachers by hosting a New Teachers’ Luncheon for Farmington schools.  Implemented the“It’s YOUR Life” program, taught to every ninth grade class in Farmingtonschools by business professionals within the chamber. Host Rocinante High School career day.

    Redcoat Ambassadors: (Noon, second Monday of the month) Official ambassadors to the chamber, participating inribbon cuttings, thank you visits, ground breakings, and make a yearly trip to
    the NM Legislative Opening Reception in Santa Fe.  Click here for an application to join.

    Farmington Young Professionals: (5:30 p.m., third Tuesday of the month) FYP consists of
    motivated, energetic, young at heart professionals, who seek enrichment by participating in professional, community, and social activities that improve the community and its members. Highway Clean-up, Speed Networking, Flamingo Flocking. Click here for an application to join.

    Health & Wellness Committee: (3:30 p.m., first Tuesday of the month) Responsible for an annual health fair, health seminars, and focuses on the physical, mental and emotional well-being of our community.

    Legislative Committee: (Varies, October thru December) Responsible for publishing a legislative brochure stating the chamber’s perspective on issues as they concern the chamber’s membership base.

    Promotions and Special Events: (8:30 a.m., Second Thursday of the month) Responsible for creating and implementing new fundraisers for the chamber, most notably, Chile in October and Music on the Rocks

    Finance and Operations Committee: (4 p.m. the Monday prior to the Board of Directors meeting) Responsible for overseeing the financials of the Farmington Chamber of Commerce, including reviewing the monthly bank statements, invoices and the management of the chamber’s
