    About Us

Four Corners Power Plant is one of the largest coal-fired generating stations in the United States. The plant is located on Navajo land in Fruitland, N.M., about 25 miles west of Farmington.

It was the first mine-mouth generation station to take advantage of the large deposits of sub-bituminous coal in the Four Corners region. The first unit went online in 1963. The plant, operated by Arizona Public Service Co., provides power to about 300,000 households in New Mexico, Arizona, California and Texas.
